Fire Sprinkler Design
FirePro USA provides fire sprinkler design support for contractors working on new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. We develop layouts and supporting documentation with attention to applicable NFPA standards, project specifications, and coordination with the building’s other systems.
The design scope includes sprinkler placement, piping layouts, hydraulic calculations, details, and preparation of shop drawing packages. Required inputs, deliverables, review responsibilities, and submission milestones are established at the start of the assignment.
Typical deliverables: Sprinkler layout drawings; hydraulic calculation reports; project details; shop drawing packages and fabrication reports / material lists within the agreed scope.
BIM Coordination
Fire sprinkler piping competes for space with structure, ductwork, plumbing, electrical systems, and ceiling components. FirePro USA supports the coordination process by developing sprinkler models and working through conflicts with the project team.
Our coordination support includes model reviews, clash review meetings, piping adjustments, and tracking unresolved issues. We work within the project’s agreed model exchange requirements and coordination schedule to keep drawings and models aligned.

Project Management
FirePro USA provides project management support for fire sprinkler work, helping contractors organize the information and decisions needed to move a project forward. Assistance can cover a specific phase or continue through an agreed portion of the project.
We help track design and submittal milestones, RFIs, outstanding information, and coordination commitments. The scope can also include communication with the general contractor and other trades, progress updates, and closeout documentation support.

Existing Conditions Surveys
Renovation projects often begin with incomplete drawings or conditions that differ from the available records. FirePro USA documents accessible sprinkler systems and building conditions so the project team has useful information for design and coordination.
Survey work can include measurements, photographs, existing piping and sprinkler locations, equipment identification, and notes on visible obstructions. The survey area, access requirements, and documentation format are agreed before the site visit.
Typical deliverables: Field notes and photographs; existing layout information; dimensions and coordination constraints; marked drawings or CAD backgrounds as included in the scope.
Fabrication and Record Drawings
Clear documentation helps connect the design work with the contractor’s fabrication and field processes. FirePro USA prepares fabrication information and material documentation to the agreed project requirements.
At closeout, we can update drawings using contractor field markups, approved changes, and survey information included in the assignment. The source and extent of field verification are established with the contractor before record drawings are prepared.

Preconstruction Support
Early decisions affect both the design effort and the work in the field. FirePro USA supports preconstruction by reviewing available drawings and specifications, developing preliminary layouts, and identifying information needed to advance the sprinkler scope.
We can assist with material takeoffs, scope clarifications, constructability discussions, and coordination planning. Budgeting support is based on the level of information available and the scope agreed with the contractor.

Originally established in Denver, Colorado, in 2016, FirePro USA is now based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Backed by 28 years of experience across all aspects of the fire sprinkler industry, we provide fire sprinkler design, BIM coordination, project management, and existing conditions documentation for contractors and construction teams.
Our work centers on practical project needs: clear drawings, coordinated layouts, reliable project information, and communication that keeps work moving forward. We can assist with a defined assignment or provide additional support as your workload changes.
FirePro USA supports projects across the United States and internationally. Most of our work takes place outside Minnesota, with remote design and coordination services and fieldwork arranged to meet each project’s needs. We support our clients wherever their work takes them.
How we work

2. Define the assignment. We confirm the scope, deliverables, required inputs, coordination responsibilities, and proposed schedule before beginning work.
3. Develop and coordinate. We prepare the agreed drawings or documentation, communicate questions, and work through coordination issues with your project team.
4. Deliver and support. We provide the agreed files and documentation, with revision support and closeout assistance as included in the assignment.
